To improve and expand upon their dental and vision products in the small group market, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is lowering the participation levels for voluntary dental and vision coverage.
Effective April 1, 2025 the minimum enrollment requirement to offer voluntary dental or vision coverage, including standalone dental benefits, is decreasing from 10 to two (2) contracts. The 30% participation requirement still applies.
Small employer groups that were unable to offer Voluntary Dental and/or Vision coverage because they did not meet the previous requirement of 10 minimum enrollees should contact AJM Associates to explore their options starting April 1, 2025.
