BCBSM Individual Plan Changes 2026

Metro Detroit HMO and Preferred HMO Value Plan Changes have been announced for the upcoming 2026 Individual coverage plan year.

The Metro Detroit HMO plans will not be offered in 2026. In addition, the Preferred HMO Value plan will be closed in 11 counties. Members currently enrolled in these plans will be automatically crosswalked into a new plan, unless they actively choose a different option.

• Mandatory Notice: Members will receive a Mandatory Notice with details about the plan change and the plan they are being crosswalked into.
  

• Member Options: Members have the option to actively enroll in a different plan if they prefer. If they take no action, they will be automatically enrolled in the crosswalked plan.

Here is the list of affected Metro Detroit HMO and Preferred HMO Value plans and their corresponding new plans:
