The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DFIS) has approved CMS's ruling to extend pre-ACA health plans through December 31, 2019. Under the 2019 Transitional Extension, this would mean small group and individual plans that had been renewed continuously since January 1, 2014 are permitted to renew again with the policy ending on or before December 31, 2019.
